(OIA) website. Individual notifications will not be provided.

Applicants are responsible for ensuring all required documents arrive by the deadline. KNU is not liable for mail
delivery failures. Missing documents will lead to disqualification, and application fees are non-refundable.

All critical updates will be sent to the email address provided in the application. Applicants must ensure their
contact information is accurate; KNU is not responsible for any disadvantages caused by incorrect contact details.

Once the online application is submitted, no changes can be made. Applicants are solely responsible for any errors
in their submission.

Eligibility of Applicants
1. Eligibility of Applicants: Applicants who meet all of the following qualifications
1) Nationality: Both an applicant and the applicant's parents should be non-Korean nationals
※ Nationality criterion is evidenced only if the applicant and both of their parents acquire non-Korean citizenship on
the period before the applicant begins the curriculum corresponding to educational program of Korean high school
※ Dual citizenship including Korean nationality and stateless persons are NOT eligible (Nationality is determined as of the
application deadline.)
2) Language Proficiency: Applicants who meet one of the following standards
① with Level 3 or higher on the TOPIK (PBT or IBT) conducted by the National Institute for International Education (NIIED)
② completed (or expected to complete) Level 3 or higher of a regular Korean language course at a Korean language
education institute affiliated with a domestic university
③ possess one or more of the certified English test scores specified in the standard table below

3) Educational Background
○ Master's course: A person who has obtained a bachelor's degree from a regular four-year course university in Korea
or abroad (including those expected to acquire it by the end of February 2027)
○ Doctor's course: A person who has obtained a master's degree from a regular graduate school in Korea or abroad
(including those expected to acquire it by the end of February 2027)
2. Precautions for Eligibility of Applicants
○ Applicants can apply for the graduate course regardless of the applicant's major in the lower course, but if they are
not the same major, they must complete the course designated by the department after admission (Master’s and
Doctorate course: within 12 credits)
○ Applicants cannot double apply for the graduate course (including dual application between campuses)
○ Those who are expected to earn a bachelor's degree or master's degree are only eligible if they acquire the degree by
the end of February 2027
※ If the final Certificate of Degree acquisition is not submitted additionally by 2027. 2. 19.(Fri), admission will be canceled.
※ Applicants for the departments listed below must satisfy specific language proficiency requirements and must submit relevant
supporting documents
○ Business Administration, Architecture, Industrial Engineering: Level 3 or higher holder on the TOPIK conducted by the National

Screening method and application Fee
1. Screening method: 100% Document Review
○ Evaluate the aptitude for the major program and academic capacity through a document review of the applicant's
self-introduction, research plan, etc., targeting those eligible for application
2. Principle of assessment
○ Applicants are selected based on the document review results within each recruitment unit.
○ Detailed matters concerning the allocation of personnel by recruitment unit and the principles of assessment, etc. shall
be determined by the Graduate Committee.

2) Applicants can apply to only one department. Including dual apply between campuses, multiple applications are not allowed.

Applicant Notes (MUST BE AWARED)
1. For the purpose of graduate admission, the university collects and uses applicants' personal information as follows:
- Collection and use items: Name, resident registration number, address, previous university, phone number, mobile phone
number, email, bank account number for refund, etc.
- Purpose of collection and use: Materials for university admission & student services, scholarship, university admission
statistics, selection of student dormitory, student welfare (health care) etc.
- Retention and use period: After attaining the goals, retention period has elapsed. Therefore, the information is deleted without delay.
- Sharing and Providing: It is used only for the purpose as mentioned the above, and does not use or provide beyond
without the consent of the user.
2. Students are considered as agreeing to the academic inquiry and residence confirmation by the application for admission,

and if adverse facts are found during the confirmation process, admission will be canceled.
3. All non-Korean or English submissions should be accompanied by a notarized translation.
4. For both Certificate of graduation and Academic transcript, original documents are required to submit, but in case those
documents cannot be reissued, applicants can submit copy version of those documents. For copy of documents,
notarization process is essential. Also, certificate of Apostille(or Consular Authentication) must be original one.
5. Submitted documents are not returned, admission records are not disclosed.
6. Any one who the submission documents are insufficient or the entry is different from the facts and Forgery, tampering,
translation errors of documents, proxy tests, or cheaters are rejected.
7. Even after admission, admission will be canceled if any disqualifying factors are found in the applicant's qualifications or if
a visa is not issued.
8. If the applicant does not have sufficient academic ability, he or she may not be selected.
9. If you do not register within the specified registration period, your acceptance will be canceled without a separate procedure, and if
you double-register with another university, your admission may be canceled.
10. Applicants should check the notice on the KNU International Affairs Homepage(https://oia.kongju.ac.kr) during the screening period and
follow all instructions. The disadvantage arising from not confirming the notice is entirely the responsibility of the applicant.
11. Applicants must give up registration before the date of admission to get the full amount of tuition. If an applicant
applies for withdrawal after the date of admission, the tuition fee will be reduced according to the number of school
days from the date of admission to the date of withdrawal.
12. Even if a department belongs to the College of Education, it is unrelated to obtaining a Teacher Certificate.
13. Admission is automatically revoked if tuition is not paid during the registration period.
14. Contact the department for details on English-taught courses, class schedules, and teaching methods as most classes are in Korean.
15. All international students must fulfill the following language proficiency requirements based on the language track (Korean or
English) selected at the time of admission before their graduation. Note that only scores obtained while enrolled at this
university are recognized.

Applicants admitted based on Korean proficiency must obtain and submit TOPIK Level 4 or higher including those in the
Division of International Studies.

TOPIK Level 3 is accepted for GKS scholars, all Art and Physical Education programs, and Science and Engineering
graduate students.

Applicants admitted based on English proficiency must obtain and submit official English test scores such as TOEFL,
TOEIC, TEPS, or IELTS that meet the university standards.
16. In the event of any differences in interpretation, the Korean version will prevail. Matters not specified in this guideline
will be determined by the university.
17. The Electronic Visa (E-visa) application service is provided only to applicants applying through designated institutions that
have an official agreement with our university and operate a system to prevent illegal stay. (Limited to partner
